Strawberry season

Last Friday, we went with some friends to pick strawberries - it was a beautiful day and we had a blast picking. We love strawberries and as there were 3 of us picking, we decided to use 3 baskets ... we got a LOT of strawberries. Probably should have stuck with just 2 baskets. I made 4 batches of jam, quickly ran out of freezer space and still had a whole basket of strawberries leftover.

Oh - how I miss a real kitchen ...

There is nothing quite like homemade strawberry jam!

  2. Ok I have to say I am officially impressed! I love to make jam but I have never done it in a camping trailer. You not only thought to do it but you did it! Great job. Your family will love the taste of it all year! Those berries look so good by the way!

  4. YUMMY!!! You are making my mouth water!!

Glad you had a fun time!

(and don't ask me about how I enjoy the weather in July/August/September either! I just thought I would warn you - fall isn't really a noticeable season in the south. It does show up but not always!! Sometimes it is still hot in Sept and Oct. I hope this year will prove me wrong!!)

    Blessings!
(Have you received an email from me? I sent it a few weeks ago. Maybe I used the wrong email.)
