Happy 50th Anniversary, Dad and Mom!

Wishing my parents a Happy 50th Anniversary! That is quite an accomplishment!

This picture is from the last time we were out in Oregon. By the size of the kids, it has obviously been way too long!! We are hoping to make a trip out this fall to visit.

This is a recent picture of Mom with the kids when she visited with my sister, Teresa.

Much love to both of you!

ps - they didn't want a big to-do or a party, but I think it is very blog worthy, just the same :)

She’s creative, funny, loving and giving

Although life has currently been all about Hadden’s baseball, I don’t want to overlook our girl. To her credit, she has very patiently endured many hours at the practice field and game field watching her brother play! She does have soccer camp coming up in a couple of weeks, so she will have something fun to do, also. She is also looking forward to summer camp next month.

She does very well in school – we just got her standard test results back and were very pleased with the results. She’s kind and giving to her friends and even occasionally to her brother :) She is very bossy towards him – something we are working on. I’m pretty sure that someday he will outgrow her and the bossiness just might wear a little thin for him – ha!

She’s very adventurous, crafty and creative. She always wants to find and take the “hidden trail” when we hike. She’s definitely daddy’s girl. She loves to pretend – here they are playing pirates. She love, love, loves animals and is very good with them.

I missed showing you this shot – this past spring, Savannah’s number was 42, Hadden’s was 4 and John’s was 46 (he was 1st base coach). Someone math-minded in our house saw the math problem in their numbers :)

All-star baseball season

We are in the midst of all-star baseball season and having a blast. Hadden’s team is playing very well and we are hoping they do well in the district and area tournaments to get to play at state. The state tournament is on our home field this year, so it would be great fun to play in it and to also move on to the world series. One game at a time.

Doesn’t he look sharp and grown up!! This is my favorite uniform that they wear.

They took 1st place at a tournament last weekend – great job, boys! I just have to say that these are the sweetest group of 8-year old boys that I have seen in a long time. I love that Hadden is part of a team where the boys are encouraging each other so well.

Hadden was in a bit of a hitting slump on Saturday and Sunday, so on Monday, we encouraged him to memorize 2 Timothy 1:7 “God didn't give us a spirit that makes us weak and fearful. He gave us a spirit that gives us power and love. It helps us control ourselves.”

Monday night were the final games for the tournament, and with God’s help, Hadden pulled himself out of the slump and was hitting well again. He earned the game ball for the first game and we are very proud of him! We are praying that he continues to lean on God’s strength and do his very best and bring God the glory.

The camper is SOLD!!!!

I am so thrilled to announce that the camping trailer has been sold and delivered to a very sweet couple that have a piece of property along a river. Yesterday was exceptionally busy with the sales transaction, clean-up and prep for delivery. John did a great job delivering it last night and helping them get all set up.

I cannot tell you how nice it is to look outside and NOT see it there! :)
