Basement started...

Current status of the shed - we have finished the staining, but still need to do the trim work. John made a nice ramp to make it easier to wheel the heavy things in and out.

A dear friend, Wally, has been helping us with his tractor. He did some more improvements on the road and is now digging out the basement. The road just doesn't want to stay nice ... the rain washes out parts of it and the parts that are soft get damaged with big equipment driving on them. I think this will be how it is until we can make some more substantial improvements. The nice thing is, we have met more neighbors that are willing to help pay for improvements.

We are still waiting on electric ...

Psalm 147:11 the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

  1. The shed looks nice! I hope you left room for the washer and dryer...you'll probably need to use them a lot while building! While building our home whenever we would end up with a big pile of dirt it would become the place where our girls wanted to play..walking up it rolling down it..over and over. After we dug our foundation the county required us to line it with plastic. Here in the Pacific Northwest it rains ALOT...so our foundation hole was full of 6 or so inches of water. There were hours of big spashing in rubber boots. My older girls and nephew loved that spot to play in! Continued blessings in your building project...~KSR~
