We’ve been doing a LOT of this and that – baseball and soccer! But I LOVE it and would prefer to be running to practices and games than just sitting at home :)
Note the kid at bat – that’s our guy!! Note the man at 1st – that’s MY man! Note the kid running at 1st base – he’s likely to be famous someday. Seriously, he’s a super athlete and a sweet kid. We are trying to sneak an autograph so we can say “we knew him when …”! Hadden’s team is starting to put it all together and have won their last 2 games.
Savannah is doing very well in soccer – she seems to have turned the corner and is much more aggressive and into the game. She has a new coach and the whole team is playing very well. They had to play up a level this spring in order to allow everyone to play, but they have learned a lot and have even won a few games.
Happy. I guess he has decided to adopt us. We found out that he does not belong to the neighbors after all, and he was a stray. I felt sorry for him and started feeding him then. He is a sweet dog, so I guess we can’t complain too much. His only flaw is barking at all hours of the night :)
Behind Happy is our start of a garden. John built me some raised beds and we hauled some top soil from down the hill. I planted sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, peppers, and onions so far. I bought a lot of plants that were already started because I was kind of late getting the garden in.
Our hunting cabin “neighbors” offered to rent the equipment if John would work on the road! Man, he drives a hard bargain! John worked VERY hard and put many hours in moving dirt around and the road is a LOT better. Way to go, honey!
Savannah had testing last week, so one of the days Hadden and I went to Turkey Creek Falls. This is a tubing and swimming spot in the summertime. Right now, I think it would be a little bit of a wild ride!
And, just for funny …
Lilly thinks she is a lap dog still :) Flashback to a few years ago when they both were a lot smaller!
Hadden is forever putting his shirts on backwards, but he was a good sport and let me take a picture of it. Big mistake, son!
Fun post! I love seeing all of the photos! I can't believe how much Savannah has grown. Wow! And cutie pie, Hadden, in his backwards shirts. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited that you are growing a garden. Looks like you are staying busy.
Miss you!
